Tiny Fists of Fury. (Open)

Awake oddly early at noon, Brennan is actually working out for once. His young body finally showing a bit of paunch from his leisurely life. After a quick warm up he begins his work out by taking out some frustration on a heavy bag. He utterly lack form and is more flailing at the bag than anything.

The gym's owner woke at the sounds and groggily shambled to his feet from the back. He seemed a bit more sluggish since the Winter really began to hit the area. He still managed to teach classes in the afternoon and walk the streets looking for trouble at night, but when he hit the hay, he hit it hard.

After taking care of nature's call, he shuffled to the front of the gym with a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans from his secret stash, chomping on them one at a time. After the third, he seems to perk up a bit. Putting his fists to his sides in the classic superman-type pose, he speaks up.

"You picked terrible to start training. I leave for Sochi tomorrow."

"I'm getting fat. While oddly comforting, not my place in the world to get fat." He continues to ineffectually strike at the bag.

He walks forward and holds the bag. "Would you like me to come up with an exercise routine for you while I'm gone? Or maybe you come along, break me out of jail in case I get arrested."

The boy lands a straight punch as he holds the bag. It has as much force as a grown man. "I guess I could come with. Not like I have anything better to do."

He smiles at the proper punch. "Life is what you make of it. I know it is cliche, but it is a wise one to consider. What do you want to do with your life? Who do you wish to become? Then figure out how to make it happen. We'll pack you a bag. I have an Akashic friend who offered a private flight."

He stops his half hearted attempt at training and looks up at the larger man in confusion, "What I want is not going to matter. Who I wish to become hasn't been taken into consideration. My path is set. Fate has already decided."

"There was a journey I had to take with a few old friends to stop a madman who was trying to destroy a city. We had to travel to the spirit world to do so, and on this trip we were given tasks by Zues himself. Or a spiritual creature that looked enough like him. One friend was tasked with drinking a keg dry. Another with outrunning a little girl. I had to wrestle an old woman. It was all symbolic, of course. The cup was really fed by a lake. The little girl was thought. But I beat the old woman. I beat old age."

The bear man shrugs. "If fate is so set, there is no point to this world. Even if fate is a strong guideline, it's possible to forge your own path if you are willful enough to do so, as I was that day. I have faith you can set your own course. And I am always here to help you do so, Brennan."
